Detailed Itinerary of 6 Days Maasai Mara Honeymoon Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve – Naibosho Conservancy
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Wilson Airport for a domestic flight to Maasai Mara’s Naboisho Conservancy. On landing, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge/camp with a short game drive across the golden savannah plains.
Enjoy lunch after check-in and spend some time in relaxation; late in the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive searching for several wildlife species, including lions, leopards, Cape buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, cheetahs, and giraffes, among others. As the sun sets, you will return to your camp for a candle-lit dinner to celebrate your first night on a romantic getaway in the wilderness of Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 2-3: Romantic Safari in Naboisho Conservancy
You will spend these two days in the Naboisho Conservancy, taking part in game drives, guided walking safaris and night game drives.
Wake up to a delicious breakfast, board your private safari vehicle and head out for a morning game drive in Naboisho Conservancy, a private Maasai Mara conservancy named after the Maasai expression for “coming together”, chosen by the Maasai people to epitomise how the Maasai community came together to face the alarming issue of decreasing land.
The Naboisho Conservancy boasts the highest concentration of lions in the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, including the largest pride of lions, consisting of 20 individuals. While on your game drive, you will be able to spot some of the members of this pride. Other animals to look out for during your game drive include herds of elephants and buffalo, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, and cheetahs, among others. At Mara Naboisho, responsible tourism practices are emphasised with strict limits on the number of vehicles allowed near wildlife sighting areas and a mandatory distance of at least 20 metres from all animals. This approach enhances the quality of your wildlife sightings while minimising disturbance to the animals. Unlike the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Naboisho, being a conservancy, offers unique safari experiences, such as night drives, with fewer restrictions on activities, thus allowing for a more intimate and varied safari experience.
After the game drive, return to the camp for a hot lunch and a short rest. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for a guided walking safari. Led by expert Masai guides, you will gain insights into the intricate workings of the Maasai Mara ecosystem, from the flora to the fascinating behaviours of the animals. Explore the landscapes as you delve into the land and its people, and experience the true essence of the reserve and Kenya at large.
Your day continues with a sundowner preparation at one of the viewpoints; enjoy drinks as you watch the sun set in the arms of your partner. Your adventure continues with a night game drive lasting about 3 hours; experience the dark hours of the Maasai Mara as you watch nocturnal animals like hyenas and lions as they hunt with the help of a spotlight.

Day 4-5: Romantic Safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve
These two days are dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
After breakfast at your camp, leave Naboisho Conservancy for Maasai Mara National Reserve for an extensive game viewing experience. Here, you will indulge in morning and afternoon game drives on which you will explore the golden plains of the reserve and spot several wildlife species, including prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, wildebeests, wild dogs and several colourful bird species.
On one of the mornings, you will have a hot air balloon flight, a romantic way to explore Maasai Mara National Reserve and enjoy an eye’s-view of the landscape as well as the wildlife as you glide in the sky. The balloon safari experience in Maasai Mara is an hour’s flight, concluding with a champagne bush breakfast set under an acacia tree, toasting to a successful experience.
Continue with your game drives and enjoy a picnic lunch set at one of the picnic sites.

Day 6: Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your domestic flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Meet our representative and be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or the hotel; depending on your flight time, you can have a short Nairobi city tour, visiting the Giraffe Centre to feed the giraffes and the National Museum, among others.
The drop-off at the airport will mark the end of your Maasai Mara honeymoon.
