Your weekend escape begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. After a short safari briefing from the guide, you depart for the Masai Mara. The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions. You arrive at the Masai Mara around midday, check into a lodge and enjoy lunch with views of the surrounding wilderness.
In the afternoon, you head out for an afternoon game drive. This is a perfect time to see wildlife as animals become more active in the cooler hours. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and possibly lions or cheetahs. As the sun sets, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
You start the day with an early morning game drive. This morning’s game drive will offer you high chances of spotting all the Big Five animals. After the game drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, you exit the lodge and begin the journey back to Nairobi. The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, and you get to arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, marking the end of the 2 days Masai Mara weekend escape.
