How to Get to Mara Moon Guest Lodge

From Nairobi, the capital of Kenya and where most safaris to the Masai Mara National Reserve start from, it is a journey of about 5 hours, depending on the traffic. The route from Nairobi to Narok is 150 kilometres with good tarmac, via the Rift Valley, and from Narok it is a drive of about 86 kms towards Sekanani. There is good signage on this route; also, it is tarmac 15 kms before Sekenani Gate, one of the entry gates to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

To the left at the local petrol station, look for the first “Mara – Moon” signpost. Drive for 2 km on a bush track, following some more Mara–Moon signs, the last of which is the entry to the property on your left. Proceed to drive 300 metres uphill to the houses. The road is in good condition.
